My first experience with PRP facial treatment 😘
It's been more than 10 years I never had any facial done. Since becoming a mother, I guess the priority of my financial has changed 😅.
Over the years, kids growing older, life getting better and in control, so I decided to get a facial again. I have heard and read so much about PRP (platelet-rich plasma) facial treatment and it benefits so I decided to go for that last month (July 2020)
PRP facial treatment claimed to even out your skin tone, reduce wrinkles, scars, sun damage, and dark circles. The treatment that I went through combined with dermapen so it will stimulate new collagen production and make the skin tighter and more radiant.
Let me explain the procedure before I show you some pictures after the treatment was done.
1. First, the Medical Aesthetic Doctor accesses my skin and then explained how the procedure gonna be like, the pain level and the do's and don'ts after the treatment as well as the downtime.
2. The beauty consultant double cleanse my face, steam and did some extraction and put on numbing cream on my face.
3. The nurse withdraws my blood, then they spin it in a centrifuge to extract protein-rich plasma.
4. Since I opt for the premium one, the doctor combined the plasma with some serum and injected some into my face especially at the area which needed the most like my under eye circles and pimple scar.
5. Then she spreads the balance of the plasma on my face and uses dermapen across my whole face to help absorb the proteins. At this point, I can smell the blood pretty strong lol.
I am super nervous at first but the only pain I felt was during the injection. No pain at all during the dermapen procedure.
So this is how I look like after the procedure.
Day 1:
You can see some swollen especially at the place of the injections. Below my eyes, forehead and checks. I can't wear makeup for a week but I don't mind as I seldom wear makeup anyway.
Day 2:
The swollen at the injection spot has reduced a little bit. My dark eye circle reduced as well. I have severe dark eye circles for years. Sorry that I don't have a picture to show you because I always use a filter when taking a picture to cover my flaws 😆. Face still looks swollen overall.
Day 3:
If you notice, there was a little bruised below my right eye (left side if you see in the above picture). That was due to the injection actually. Apparently, the needles has poke one of my veins. Overall you can see the face is not so swollen anymore. Maybe because I opt for a mild dermapen instead of the aggressive one. Yup you can choose the length of your dermapen needles 😅🤣
Here are the comparison pictures from day 1 until day 21. No filter no makeup
My face is more smooth, tighter and brighter. My under eye circle has reduced tremendously. It's advisable to go through this treatment at least 3 times. (Once a month). Hence my next treatment will be in the next 2 weeks and I wanted to try the one with Salmon PDRN. So... Stay tuned.
